Effective August 30, 2026 · Version 15
Terms of Use.
These Terms form an agreement between you and Nicholas Ekman, carrying on business as AKELASENTERPRISES, concerning Free PDF Conversion & Tools. Do not use the service unless you agree.
Consumer notice and operator
Operator: Nicholas Ekman, carrying on business as AKELASENTERPRISES, a registered Ontario sole proprietorship. The sole proprietorship is not a corporation or separate legal person. General contact and Privacy Officer: Nicholas Ekman at AkelasEnterprises@hotmail.com. Begin formal-notice subjects with [LEGAL], privacy matters with [PRIVACY], security matters with [SECURITY], and product questions with [SUPPORT]. The monitored email is the published public service contact; no residential address is displayed. Any additional address or transaction notice that applicable law requires will be supplied through the legally required channel. Independent Ontario legal review of the current launch position and Quebec exclusion was completed on August 30, 2026. These Terms allocate risk to the fullest extent legally permitted. They do not exclude or waive a statutory, privacy, consumer, accessibility, or other right that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude or waive.
Not for regulated or personal information
The service is a general-purpose consumer PDF utility. It is not marketed, offered, represented, certified, contracted, or configured for healthcare providers, health information custodians, their agents, hospitals, clinics, insurers, lawyers, courts, financial institutions, governments, public-sector bodies, or other regulated organizations. You must not select, process, upload, link, sign, redact, or otherwise submit personal information or regulated records, including personal health information, medical records, patient information, legal-client information, privileged material, court-sealed records, banking or payment-card data, tax records, government identifiers, biometric information, classified information, children’s information, or similarly sensitive data.
No PHIPA or sector-specific service
The operator does not agree to act as a health information custodian, agent, electronic service provider, business associate, records custodian, fiduciary, professional service provider, or regulated-sector processor. No PHIPA, HIPAA, financial-sector, legal-sector, government, data-residency, professional-secrecy, records-management, accessibility-procurement, or comparable compliance representation is made. No health information agreement, business associate agreement, regulated vendor contract, or sector-specific data-processing agreement is offered. If your use would impose such a role or obligation, you are not authorized to use the service.
Eligibility, territory, and authority
You must be at least 18 and legally capable of agreeing. The service is not available to minors, including with guardian authorization. Following legal review, the English-only service is not offered or directed to residents of Quebec and you must not evade the territorial restriction. Quebec may be added only after a complete French service and renewed Quebec-specific legal review. You represent that you own or are authorized to process each non-sensitive document selected, that your use is lawful, and that you will not use the service on behalf of a regulated organization or for a regulated workflow.
The service and user responsibility
The service provides browser-based PDF tools and temporary encrypted links. Before live advertising is activated, standard local tools remain available without advertisements. A future public version may offer an optional provider-confirmed rewarded advertisement through a clearly labelled “Watch one ad to unlock a 2-minute local boost” control. No rewarded ad will begin until the user deliberately chooses it. One completed ad may grant a two-minute enhanced local-processing session, subject to a maximum of four sessions daily, availability, consent, fraud controls, and advertising-provider rules. Rewards are limited to native digital site features and are never cash, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or physical goods. Declining or closing the advertisement will not block standard local processing. Sponsored entitlements do not increase encrypted-link or cloud-storage allowances. Encrypted links remain subject to separate per-network and site-wide capacity ceilings intended to control abuse and operating cost. VPNs and network changes do not create any entitlement to evade a limit. Features may change, fail, be limited, paused, or discontinued. You must inspect every output, maintain independent originals, secure your device and links, and determine whether the result is suitable. The service is not professional advice, archival storage, backup, identity verification, notarization, qualified signing, or a legally mandated records system.
Day Pass purchases, refunds, and payment disputes
A Day Pass is a one-time US$3.49 purchase plus any applicable tax calculated at checkout, does not renew, and lasts 24 hours after provider-confirmed payment. Stripe Managed Payments hosts checkout, calculates and handles applicable indirect tax where supported, provides transaction-level payment support, and may display local-currency information. It permits local files up to 100 MB and cumulative secure transfer up to 5 GB, subject to a 90 MB secure-file maximum, 1 GB simultaneously active maximum, 15-minute link expiry, device capability, platform safety ceilings, and fair-use controls. Limits are not guaranteed capacity reservations. Before payment, checkout clearly displays the price, duration, principal limits, operator, and support contact.
If the service fails materially and the operator cannot restore the purchased access, contact AkelasEnterprises@hotmail.com with subject [SUPPORT] DAY PASS within 14 days so the operator can investigate and provide any remedy required by applicable law. Refund requests are assessed promptly using payment confirmation and privacy-preserving entitlement and usage records. No wording in these Terms removes a mandatory cancellation, refund, consumer-guarantee, or chargeback right. Access may be revoked after a refund, reversal, chargeback, fraud signal, payment failure, or material abuse. Knowingly making a false payment dispute, using stolen payment credentials, cycling payment instruments, or coordinating purchases to evade limits is prohibited.
Electronic signatures and links
When you type a name and select “Sign,” you knowingly adopt that mark as your electronic signature, request that the service place it on the document, and confirm your intent to sign that document electronically. You represent that you are at least 18, have reviewed the final document, are the person whose name you enter or are lawfully authorized to sign for that person or organization, have legal capacity and all required authority and consents, and have independently determined that this signing method is permitted and suitable for the transaction.
You must not use this feature for any document that requires identity proofing, a witness, notary, original paper, prescribed form, qualified or secure signature, certificate, seal, court-approved process, or another specific method, or for a will, power of attorney, regulated record, or other excluded or high-stakes document. You are responsible for obtaining legal advice, delivering the signed document, preserving the final document and evidence, and confirming acceptance by every relevant party.
The operator supplies a technical PDF tool only and is not a party, witness, notary, certificate authority, trust-service provider, identity-verification provider, custodian, escrow agent, or legal adviser. Typed marks and evidence records do not independently prove identity, age, authority, capacity, review, delivery, custody, signing location, enforceability, attribution, non-repudiation, witnessing, notarization, or compliance with a prescribed method. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator makes no warranty that a signature or document will be valid, admissible, enforceable, accepted, tamper-proof, or legally effective. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded. Anyone with a complete key-bearing link may be able to decrypt it, and the operator does not control recipients or downloaded copies.
Advertising and prohibited conduct
Clearly labelled contextual advertising may support the service. Rewarded ads require an explicit user choice. Interstitial or vignette ads are limited to natural page transitions, never tool buttons, processing actions, or downloads, and will be configured for no more than one eligible display in any five-minute period unless the advertising provider enforces a stricter limit. Advertisers and advertising providers are independent third parties; their products, claims, availability, data practices, and destinations are not endorsed or guaranteed. Never click an advertisement merely to support the site. The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. You may not defeat access controls without authority, infringe rights, forge or impersonate, distribute malware, evade limits through VPN rotation or other means, manufacture advertising impressions or clicks, interfere with the service, or submit prohibited personal, sensitive, professional, government, financial, health, or regulated information.
Worldwide availability, sanctions, and export controls
The service is intended to be available worldwide where lawful and technically supported, except Quebec while French-language readiness remains incomplete. Availability, features, encrypted storage, and advertising may differ by country. You may not use the service if you are a sanctioned or blocked person, act for one, are located where providing the service is prohibited, or would cause the operator or a provider to violate Canadian, United Nations, United States, European, United Kingdom, or other applicable sanctions or export controls. Access may be blocked without notice when reasonably required for compliance.
Privacy and accessibility
The Privacy Policy describes limited technical records and encrypted storage. It is not permission to submit prohibited data. The operator seeks to provide an accessible experience and welcomes requests through the Privacy Rights Centre, but does not represent that the service has received a WCAG or AODA conformity audit or is suitable for a regulated organization’s accessibility procurement obligations.
Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND EVERY OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.” THE OPERATOR DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, AND COLLATERAL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ACCURACY, SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, LEGAL EFFECT, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, ERROR-FREE OPERATION, DATA RECOVERY, AND RESULTS. YOU USE THE SERVICE AND RELY ON OUTPUTS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NICHOLAS EKMAN AND HIS EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, HOSTS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, AGGRAVATED, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, SAVINGS, BUSINESS, OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL, PRIVACY, DOCUMENTS, OR DATA; REGULATORY PENALTIES; PROFESSIONAL CLAIMS; THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS; OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. THEIR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE FEES YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT OR CAD $100. THESE LIMITS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THEORY OR FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT A LIMIT IS PROHIBITED BY LAW.
User-caused claims and indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator parties from third-party claims, regulatory proceedings, losses, penalties, and reasonable costs arising from your documents, prohibited data, unlawful or unauthorized use, breach of these Terms, infringement, misrepresentation, or failure to obtain required authority or consent. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by conduct for which indemnification cannot lawfully be required.
Release and risk allocation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume the risks of document corruption, inaccurate output, insecure devices, forwarded links, recipient conduct, unauthorized submissions, and use in an unsuitable or regulated context, and release the operator parties from claims arising solely from those assumed risks. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including any mandatory remedy available under applicable law.
Mandatory regional rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes a non-waivable consumer guarantee, privacy right, statutory remedy, or regulator authority. If Australian Consumer Law, European consumer law, a United States state law, or another mandatory local rule applies, these Terms operate only to the maximum extent that rule permits. Regional availability may be limited where required notices, language support, consent technology, tax treatment, or other launch controls are incomplete.
Suspension, changes, and governing law
Access may be suspended to protect the service, enforce these Terms, restrict an unsupported territory, or comply with law. Material changes receive a new version and may require renewed acceptance. Ontario and applicable Canadian federal law govern, subject to mandatory rights in the user’s jurisdiction. Ontario courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If a provision is unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder continues. Independent Ontario legal review of the current launch position has been completed; additional regional or specialist advice will be obtained when material changes or new jurisdictions require it.
