Know what works before choosing a file.

Check your browser's Downloads list first, then the folder it shows. On a computer this is often Downloads; on iPhone or iPad check the Files app, and on Android check Files or Downloads. Your browser settings may use another location or open a preview first. If a preview opens, use its save or share option to save a copy. Check that the download finished and your device has free space. If nothing was saved, keep your original and process it again: ordinary results are not stored on our server for recovery. A download saved to your device is not deleted by our secure-link expiry schedule.

Compress PDF rewrites the PDF structure; it does not deliberately lower image quality or resize embedded photos. Already optimized PDFs and image-heavy scans may barely shrink or become larger. Compare both file sizes and keep whichever readable copy is smaller. Repeating compression is not a reliable way to reach a target size. If an email limit still prevents sending, split a copy into smaller documents or reduce source-image dimensions locally before creating a new PDF. No fixed percentage reduction is promised.

Check the file extension and the tool you selected. PDF-to-Word produces .docx, while PDF-to-JPG and PDF-to-PNG produce a .zip containing page images; extract that ZIP before opening the images. Images to PDF produces one .pdf, not a Word document, regardless of the icon your device displays. Renaming an extension does not convert a file. For a downloaded result, check that the download completed and try a trusted, updated local viewer. For an input that is password-protected, damaged or unsupported, obtain an accessible copy from its owner or exporting app. Repair PDF can only rebuild files the browser can already read; it cannot recover every damaged file. Never disable security protections to open an untrusted file.

Images to PDF creates one fitted page per selected image. Check the displayed order before processing, then check every downloaded page. If needed, reselect your images or use Rearrange PDF or Rotate PDF on the new copy. Photo orientation and HEIC decoding can vary; if one photo fails, export it locally as a JPG and try again. Keep your originals until you have checked the PDF.

PDF-to-Word and PDF-to-text read an existing text layer. A picture of text has no extractable words unless the source already includes OCR. This site does not perform OCR. Columns, tables, images and typography are not reconstructed as an identical Word layout. Try a small text-based sample, then inspect reading order and line breaks. Retain the PDF if its original appearance matters.

A small file on disk can expand substantially when pages or images are decoded. Try fewer images or pages, close unused tabs, and keep this tab in the foreground. Use a current desktop browser for demanding jobs. Cancel before starting another attempt; if the tab has reloaded, select the original again. Size, page, pixel and processing-time limits still apply with a Day Pass, and a device can run out of memory below those limits. A failed local conversion does not leave a recoverable server copy.

Secure links expire after about 15 minutes; a one-view link can also become unavailable after successful opening. Ask the sender for a new link if it expired, was consumed or is incomplete. A failed opening does not itself consume a one-view link. Password protection and one-view mode cannot be combined. Never email support a secure link, password or decryption key. Access expiry and physical deletion are different: encrypted storage is normally removed by the next successful five-minute cleanup, which can be delayed by a provider failure.
